2016 Team Training

Training for 2016 will be held on the following dates:

  • March 26:  8am-2pm at the UVRMC Clark Auditorium (Indoor Training)
  • May 21:  8am-2pm at Aspen Grove Theater-in-the-Pines (Outdoor Training)

We encourage all past and present TERT members to attend, as well as anybody interested in joining TERT.  We ask those who intend to join the team attend both trainings.

The Clark Auditorium is located at the North end of the UVRMC block (parking lot SE corner of the State Street/Bulldog Blvd intersection, enter off Bulldog Blvd).

Aspen Grove Theater-in-the-Pines is the outdoor amphitheater located just off the Aspen Grove Trailhead parking lot (SW corner).

2011 Ice Axe Training

John Moellmer will be leading an ice axe training at Aspen Grove TH on Saturday, July 9th, starting at 9am.  A few team ice axes will be available, but it is encouraged to bring your own.  This will be an excellent opportunity to learn how to self-arrest, proper carry, etc., from an experienced team leader!  RSVP with John is requested (jmoellmer at q dot com) before Saturday.

2011 Indoor Training

Dear TERT Member,

As mentioned in previous email, TERT Training will be this coming weekend. Since Indoor and Outdoor Training will be combined into one meeting, the training will be going most of the day.

Day: Saturday, April 23, 2011
Time: 0815 to around 1600 hr
Place: Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Training Area: NW Plaza – Clark Auditorium (go to the north west building on the complex labeled 1134 – enter from the north. Corner of Bulldog Blvd and 500 West, Provo.)

Tentative Schedule (times may vary slightly)

0815 New Member Orientation (or older ones who have forgotten) – will include ID pictures for those without current ID picture and/or badge

0900 Medical Training Rotations (all members should be here to start at 0900)
#1 Co-morbidity discussion
#2 ABCBSS, SAMPLE, scene survey
#3 Treating common injuries on the mountain

1000 Break – Sign-in badges, forms, dues

1015 TERT Culture (or lack there of) and Issues.  Ranger Steve Ashcraft will be part of this discussion so you don’t want to miss it!

1100 LifeFlight Training

1230 Lunch (will not be provided so bring something good to share with Glen or you can walk across the street to get pizza or something else). This time will also be used to make certain data base is up-to-date and get new photo if needed.
